We don't use any mechanical fasteners to structurally bond any of our gates.  We use only adhesives and joinery to create a superior bond between materials because we have extremely tight tolerances in our machine operation of the wood. As shown we use between 100 - 300 clamps for a typical drive gate glue-up.
